About
I’m Sorin Gavenea. I’ve been building websites since 2001 – for the most demanding client I know. Myself.
For more than two decades, web design wasn’t my job. It was my craft – practiced quietly, on my own projects, with no one to answer to but my own standards. In 2025 I decided to bring that standard to the companies who need it. This is the studio that came out of it.

Twenty-four years, twenty-five-plus websites, one client.
I built my first website in 2001. Then another, and another – sites for music, later sites for photography, more than twenty-five over the years. Every one of them was mine. That detail matters more than it sounds.
When you build only for yourself, something changes. There’s no client budget forcing you to cut a corner. No deadline pushing you to ship something “good enough.” No one to blame and no one to hide behind. Just you, the work, and whether it meets the standard you set. For twenty-four years, that’s the only kind of website I made – the kind with nothing cut, because there was no reason to cut anything.
Somewhere along the way, I started looking at the rest of the web with a photographer’s eye and a builder’s frustration. So much of it was slow. So much of it was sold on promises that quietly disappeared after the invoice cleared. Agencies that pitched fast and delivered slow. Studios chasing the quick payment instead of the lasting result.
In 2025, I decided I’d had enough of watching it from the outside. I’d take the standard I’d spent half a lifetime refining on my own work – and offer it to companies who were tired of being disappointed.
That’s Gavenea Studio.

What I believe.
Most web projects are sold on what they’ll achieve and judged on whether the client remembers to complain. I do it the other way around: I put the numbers in writing, and if I miss them, you don’t pay. The guarantee isn’t a marketing line – it’s the whole reason I started.
I’m not interested in the fast payment and the disappearing act. I’d rather build one website properly and keep making it better for years than ship ten and forget them. That’s why the studio is built around partnerships, not transactions.
When you write to Gavenea Studio, you reach me. The same person reads your brief, designs the site, writes the code, and answers your emails. No account managers, no handoffs, no “let me check with the team.” Just the person whose name is on the door, answering for every pixel.
Why B2B software, and why the US.
I chose my focus the same way I choose everything else – deliberately. B2B software companies live or die by their website’s ability to load fast and convert serious buyers, and they understand the value of work done right. I work primarily with US companies, and across the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand – markets where a fast, considered, honestly-built website is recognized for what it’s worth.
It’s a narrow focus on purpose. Doing one thing repeatedly is how the work gets sharper and how the guarantee stays possible.
Beyond the work.
Photography is where this all started, and it’s still close to me – these days more as landscapes, more as the thing I do for the love of it. That same eye for light, balance and patience is what I bring to a screen. I work from Romania, on my own hours, which happens to be exactly why the async, written-first way of working suits me – and, it turns out, suits the kind of focused teams I build for.

Let’s build something that lasts.
If you’re tired of promises that vanish after the invoice, that’s exactly why this studio exists.
Send me your website for a free audit, or tell me what you’re building.
You’ll hear back from me – in writing, within one business day.
